Arzachena is a typical town of Gallura with houses painted in pastel colours. The Museum of Ethnography, Mineralogy and Paleontology, representing the geological history of Sardinia in town is located here, while the the wind eroded granite massif Mushroom rock and symbol of the city is found on the outskirts. The remains of a prehistoric village can also be visited in the neighbouring area.
You can get to Cannigione from Arzachena through the panoramic road of Micalosu and admire Cannigione and the protected area of Saloni’s pond on one side and the Gulf of Arzachena and the arcipelago of La Maddalena on the other.
